Ann Greaves was born in Thorpe, Kimberworth in 1841. She probably gave birth to an illegitimate daughter, Rhoda Ann Greaves, in 1860, before marrying Matthew Heeley in Masborough Chapel, Rotherham in 1865. In 1871 Ann and Matthew were living in Thorpe Common, with Rhoda Ann (listed as a Heeley) and their children Henry, Emily (probably Emma?) and Annie. In 1881 they were living in Kimberworth.
