Emma Heeley was born in Thorpe Common, Kimberworth in 1867, the daughter of Matthew Heeley and Ann Greaves. In 1886 she married William Guest in Rotherham. Emma was mostly bed-bound for some years before she died but used to go out in a wheelchair. She liked going to the cinema and a special space was kept for her at Wath Majestic.
